Placement Test Results After 34 Hours

According to Transparent Languages, I improved a bit.

According to LingQ, my performance is about the same.

My results from Atlas Language School were pretty decent.

My listening results were better than deserved. (I guessed a lot.)

I barely understood anything!

34 Hours

I reached 34 hours on Duolingo in Brazilian Portuguese. I feel like I will be at least an A1 in the placement test. Did this feel like one semester's worth of work? It definitely felt like I learned a lot during the 34 hours of studying.

33 Hours

Learned lots of verbs and finally reached medical! Only one hour left. Wow!

32 Hours

Almost to the finish line!

30 Hours!!

Finally hit 30 hours. 

According to Duolingo's test I'm able to test out of 13 skills. This is possibly comparable to a student who has taken one semester. I will have to find one and ask, I suppose.

29 Hours

Finally made it past present perfect!

28 Hours

28 hours. Woo!

27 Hours

One step forward, several steps back. On the bright side, I feel the vocabulary is sinking in.

26 Hours

Almost gol again. I might aim for a second hour today to see if I can get ahead.

24 hours

Just more strengthening. Again! Well, I spent a little more time on each lesson today. I decided I wouldn't highlight the words and would guess instead if I didn't remember them. I feel like I got a bit more out of it that way. 

22 hours

More strengthening. And it looks like I won't actually finish the tree before 34 hours is up. Wow!

21 hours! Wow

Still strengthening! 

18 hours

Learned a new section and strengthened some skills.

17 hours, halfway point!!!

Today, I did three new modules before I strengthened. I didn't get everything strengthened, but I felt like I wasn't progressing with the way I was doing things before.

I'll take a placement test some time tonight or tomorrow and we'll compare my level now with my level back at 10 hours! 

16 hours

Today, I did fifty minutes to make my hour numbers even again, because I was getting confused. I don't want to do extra math, so back to even hours!

Tomorrow will be the halfway point, so I will take another placement test tomorrow and we'll see how much progress has been made! :D

Plus 40 minutes - 6/16/2017

I studied for forty minutes this afternoon. I spent part of the time strenghtening and part of the time learning new skills. I am in present 3, which is nice. I am looking forward to learning past tense.

Hoja, I studied from 21:30 to 22:00.

Studying in hour chunks was a bit of a strain on my back, so I am going to try for 30 minute chunks. I actually feel like I remember a bit better this way, though maybe I am imagining.

Even with strengthening everything before moving on, I am about halfway through the tree.

Today is day 4, hour 4 of my 34 hour challenge.

I strengthened everything. This time it took a little over a half hour (not including the ten minutes from this morning).

I learned some family vocabulary and useful job terms as well.

Today, I studied from about 14:31 to 15:31

3 hours, 10 minutes

I realized that I need to do my time a bit differently if I was going to get 34 hours into 1 month. So I did the math and realized that 1 hour and 10 minutes a day would work.

I just did the ten minutes now, which I will probably do in a separate chunk each day.

It felt pretty good. I only strengthened skills, but I felt pretty good about knowing everything that was presented.
